History and Archiving Committee

The History and Archiving committee should be a fun and creative committee. It is your job, along with the help of one assistant from each class to compile class photos and individual photos of the children and teachers to create the yearbook/ memory book.

Gather Pictures
Gather pictures of children during special times (i.e., first day of school, holidays, and field trips) as well as some shots of regular school time activities.
Contact Skylight Studios Photographer for class photos and individual photos of children for the yearbook. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Arrange for individual photos of children who were not at school during Skylight’s photo sessions in the autumn so no children are excluded from the yearbook.
Set up annual yearbook e-mail for photo submissions. For example, for the 2018/2019 school year: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Memory Books/Yearbooks
In recent years the company TreeRing has been utilized for the creation of the annual yearbook/memory book
Questionnaires are done for the older classes (3-Day AM/4/5 Day). Examples of questions include: What’s your favorite book? What super power would you choose? What do you want to be when you grow up?
You are welcome to use past yearbooks as a guide or sample to help get you started. Ask Miss Terry for a school copy. Please return when completed.
Proof: Show proof to teachers and board members to spot any errors and misspellings.
Arrange for completion and shipment before the end of May so books can be distributed to the Toddler class.

Expenses
The Chair of the committee should contact the Treasurer early in the school year to determine the budget for the yearbook. The past two years the yearbook has been $10.

Sales
Promote purchase information for yearbooks via e-mail, fliers and Facebook.
Lock in rate for the coming school year in summer.
